ABOUT THE REGION
Harrar coffee is grown on small farms in the Oromia region (formerly Harrar) in central Ethiopia. The province of Harrar, is east of Addis Ababa, the country’s capitol.
The coffee takes its name from the town of Yirgacheffe (Irgachefe) located within Ethiopia’s Sidama region in the south and is the administrative center of the coffee-growing district.
The Sidama region of Ethiopia is one of the oldest coffee growing regions in the world, dating back to the 9th Century.
Our coffee comes in sealed bags to guarantee freshness and is always roasted within the week before it is shipped to you.
